WANA (Jul 23) – The Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) member states and Jordan have issued a joint statement leveling allegations against Iran, notably omitting any condemnation of recent U.S. and Israeli actions in the region.

In the statement, Iran’s attacks on U.S. bases across the region were characterized as “a blatant aggression and a violation of the UN Charter and international law.”

“We reserve our inherent right to individual or collective self-defense and will take all necessary legal measures to protect our sovereignty,” the countries declared.

The statement also expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and commended joint diplomatic efforts by Riyadh and Oman to achieve a comprehensive resolution to the conflict in Yemen.
