Pezeshkian and Araghchi Arrive in Islamabad; ‘Minab 168’ Delegation Returns to Tehran
WANA (Jun 23) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad a few moments ago, where he was officially received by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Concurrently, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi also arrived in Islamabad to participate in the official state visit. Upon his arrival, Araghchi was welcomed by the Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri-Moghadam, alongside the Pakistani Foreign Minister and a group of senior Pakistani officials.
‘Minab 168’ Delegation Concludes Oman Visit
Meanwhile, the Iranian negotiating delegation, operating under the designation “Minab 168,” has departed Oman for Iran.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the head of the “Minab 168” negotiating team, and his accompanying delegation left Muscat for Tehran following a brief diplomatic visit. During their time in the Omani capital, the team held high-level consultations with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tarik, and Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.
Following the “Minab 168” delegation’s visit to Muscat, Iran and Oman have established a joint committee dedicated to discussions regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
