Pezeshkian Calls for Unity Among Muslim Nations in Eid al-Fitr Message
WANA (Mar 21) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a message to Muslim countries in a post on the social media platform X, marking the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In his message, written in Arabic, Pezeshkian addressed Muslim nations and neighboring countries, stating: “You are our brothers.”
He emphasized that Iran does not seek conflict with other Muslim states, adding that “only the Zionist regime benefits from divisions among us.”
The Iranian president also expressed hope that, through the blessings of Eid al-Fitr, Muslim nations would be granted the capacity and strength to achieve unity and act in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, in pursuit of divine approval.
What is Eid al-Fitr?
Eid al-Fitr, often called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” is one of the two most important Islamic holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, and begins on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
