Pezeshkian Calls for Urgent Action Against Israel’s Lawlessness
WANA (Aug 31) – Iran’s president, in a message of condolence following the killing of Yemen’s prime minister and several cabinet members, called on the international community to urgently confront what he described as Israel’s lawlessness and aggression.
Masoud Pezeshkian, in his statement of sympathy to the people of Yemen, the Muslim world, and “all freedom-seeking nations,” condemned the airstrike that killed Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Nasser al-Rahwi and a number of senior Yemeni officials. He said: “The terrorist crime of Israel against Yemen, which led to the killing of the prime minister and several officials, once again exposed the criminal nature of the ruling clique in the occupied Palestine.”
The president stressed: “The international community must immediately act to stop this regime’s aggression and violations of international law, which today stand as the greatest threat to peace, justice, morality, and humanity.”

According to Yemeni sources, Israeli airstrikes on Thursday targeted a government workshop in Sana’a, killing Prime Minister al-Rahwi along with several ministers. The Yemeni Prime Minister’s Office announced that Israel had deliberately targeted the gathering.
The Ansarullah movement reported that several ministers were also injured, with some in critical condition and under medical care.
Following the airstrikes, Israel confirmed it had targeted Yemeni officials in Sana’a. These attacks came as Sana’a’s political and military leaders repeatedly declared that as long as Israel continues its assaults on Gaza, their missile operations against Israeli territory would also continue.
