WANA (Jun 14) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held separate phone calls on Saturday with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, addressing Israel’s recent attacks on Iran and broader regional tensions.

In his conversation with Crown Prince bin Salman, Pezeshkian thanked him for his condolences and commended Saudi Arabia’s efforts during the Hajj.

He described the Israeli attacks as proof of the regime’s aggressive nature, stressing that since taking office, his administration has pursued peace and stability, while Israel has continuously tried to undermine these efforts. He emphasized the importance of unity among Islamic nations, suggesting Saudi Arabia could play a pivotal role in defending regional Muslim interests.

Bin Salman condemned the attacks, voiced solidarity with Iran, and said the Islamic world is united in support. He warned Israel is trying to provoke U.S. involvement by fueling regional tensions but praised Iran’s restrained response.

In his call with President Macron, Pezeshkian highlighted the timing of the attacks during Iran-U.S. nuclear talks, accusing Israel of trying to derail diplomatic progress from the start. He reiterated that Iran, based on religious doctrine and the Supreme Leader’s fatwa, does not seek nuclear weapons and has always preferred dialogue.

He warned that Iran will not yield to pressure or negotiate under aggression. He also criticized the U.S., saying its past assurances that Israel acts only with its approval imply complicity.

Macron expressed France’s readiness to help resolve the nuclear issue, stated that France had no role in the Israeli actions, and hoped recent events would not harm bilateral ties. He also reaffirmed France’s firm stance against Israeli operations in Gaza.

During his discussion with President Erdoğan, Pezeshkian again denounced Israel, saying its actions show disregard for human rights and international law. He noted the attacks—especially during nuclear talks—reflect Israel’s intent to prevent regional diplomacy and mentioned the assassination of martyr Haniyeh as part of this effort.

He called for stronger cooperation among Islamic nations, saying regional peace depends on unity and enhanced defense capabilities. Erdoğan expressed condolences, condemned the attacks, and accused Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu of inciting war. He emphasized that Turkey believes the nuclear issue must be resolved diplomatically and pledged full support to Iran, including efforts to stop Israeli escalation.
