WANA (May 26) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held separate telephone conversations with Iraqi President Nizar Amidi and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi to discuss regional stability and bilateral ties.

 

Pezeshkian, Amidi Underscore Diplomacy on Eid al-Adha

In a phone call on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Iraqi President Nizar Amidi received congratulations from his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian.

 

According to official reports, the two heads of state emphasized the critical importance of halting ongoing conflicts and de-escalating regional tensions through constructive dialogue and diplomacy. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of prioritizing a language of mutual understanding to bolster security and stability across the region.

 

During the call, President Pezeshkian extended an official invitation to the Iraqi President to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran. The visit aims to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand horizons for joint cooperation.
