WANA (Jun 30) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the recent agreement was reached in full coordination with the Supreme Leader and with the support of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), stressing that Iran would not retreat from its national rights or accept any imposed demands.

 

Speaking during a meeting with members of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, Pezeshkian said the negotiations were conducted within the Islamic Republic’s overarching policies and through the country’s legal decision-making mechanisms.

 

“The government has pursued the rights of the Iranian people from a position of dignity, strength, and protection of national interests, and under no circumstances has it accepted or will it accept imposed demands,” he said.

 

Pezeshkian said the final text of the agreement was reviewed by relevant expert and security bodies before receiving strong backing from the Supreme National Security Council.

 

He described the agreement as another diplomatic achievement for Iran but accused some domestic political groups of attempting to undermine it by criticizing the negotiating team and questioning national decisions in line with what he called hostile media campaigns.

 

The president said Iran’s ability to withstand recent challenges was the result of the sacrifices of the armed forces and the unity of the Iranian people, praising the military’s performance and public solidarity during the recent conflict.

 

He said the government had spent much of the past two years managing crises, mitigating the impact of external pressure, and preventing those pressures from disrupting daily life or destabilizing the country.

 

According to Pezeshkian, coordinated efforts by government institutions, state bodies, the armed forces, and the public prevented attempts by Iran’s adversaries to create instability, weaken the economy, and undermine national cohesion.

 

Addressing broader governance issues, the president emphasized that closer coordination among the country’s institutions was essential to resolving national challenges, saying a shared understanding among decision-makers was necessary to achieve Iran’s objectives.

 

Pezeshkian also said the government was pursuing legal action through domestic and international channels over what he described as crimes committed by the United States and Israel against the Iranian people, adding that Tehran would continue those efforts until Iran’s rights are secured.
