WANA (Sep 15) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday condemned Israel for carrying out attacks across the region with impunity, accusing the United States and some European countries of supporting the aggression.

Speaking at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport before departing for Doha to attend the emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Pezeshkian said:

“The emergency session, convened at the invitation of Qatar’s Emir, is focused on Israel’s aggression against Doha. This action violated all international laws and regulations. Israel no longer recognizes any limits or frameworks for its actions, attacking numerous Islamic countries, including Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, Iran, and Yemen.”

He added, “Israel strikes wherever it wants and does whatever it wants. Unfortunately, the U.S. and some European countries support these aggressions. In Gaza, Israel has committed genocide, condemning children, women, and the elderly to death through starvation. Many children are dying while the U.S. continues to shield Israel with vetoes and logistical support.”

Pezeshkian expressed hope that today’s summit of Islamic leaders would strengthen unity and cohesion among Muslim countries in response to Israel’s actions. He urged coordinated measures to pursue accountability for Israeli crimes in international legal forums and called for practical steps in economic, cultural, and diplomatic arenas.

“Muslim countries can sever their ties with this illegitimate regime. If we Muslims stand together as one, they will not dare to so easily attack Islamic nations and trample international law,” he stressed.
