Pezeshkian: No Power Can Bring a United Iran to Its Knees
WANA (Aug 30) – Iran’s president described the Supreme Leader as “the pillar of national consensus” and stressed that if the people and officials remain united, no adversary—even with unlimited resources—will be able to overpower the country.
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, in an extensive discussion with a group of political and media figures, stressed the necessity of internal unity as the country’s main shield against external threats. He said:
“Iran belongs to all its people, and no faction can claim it as its own. Enemies thought Iran was in its weakest position, but the people showed that if war is imposed, they will stand firmly.”
Referring to the recent military attacks against Iran, he stated that the United States and Israel are seeking to “fragment Iran,” but national cohesion will prevent them from achieving this goal.

On the nuclear deal (JCPOA), Pezeshkian remarked: “We do not welcome the snapback mechanism, but accepting the JCPOA was better than rejecting it. Those who once opposed it now say: ‘See, the snapback was activated.’ But one should not act against the Leader’s position.”
He emphasized: “Sanctions are more destructive than war; sanctioning medicine is a silent death.”
On Iran’s support for Palestine and the Axis of Resistance, he said: “The U.S. and Israel have mercilessly killed women and children in Gaza and Syria. They will not stop their actions, but if we maintain unity and justice at home, no power will be able to bring Iran to its knees.”
Explaining his view of the West, Pezeshkian noted: “The United States has limitless resources and will not easily give them up, but the people of Iran will not allow their own resources to be plundered for free. America’s oppressive actions can clearly be seen in Syria and Gaza.”

He once again described “national consensus” as the cornerstone of his administration’s domestic and foreign policy, calling the Leader “the pillar of unity.”
“If the people and officials remain united, no power will dare covet Iran,” he said.
Concluding his remarks, Pezeshkian declared that he is “ready to serve the people with his life,” adding: “Anyone, inside or outside the country, who can help solve the people’s problems—I will kiss their hand. The essential path is people’s participation and cooperation; without it, no government will succeed.”
