WANA (Mar 06) – Iran’s president said the country remains committed to lasting peace in the region but will not hesitate to defend its dignity and authority.

 

Masoud Pezeshkian wrote in a post on his account on the social media platform X: “Some countries have begun efforts to mediate. Our response to them is clear: we are committed to lasting peace in the region, but we have not the slightest doubt when it comes to defending our country’s dignity and authority.

 

Those who should be the target of mediation are the ones who ignited the conflict by underestimating the Iranian people.”
