Pezeshkian: The Iranian People Must Stand Firm Against Any Aggression
WANA (Jun 16) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on the Iranian people to unite and stand firmly against what he described as ongoing acts of aggression. Speaking at a parliamentary session on Monday, Pezeshkian condemned Israel’s recent operations, including the targeted killings of Iranian military commanders, scientists, and civilians.
“The enemy cannot eliminate us or our nation through strikes, assassinations, and acts of terror,” he declared. “For every hero who falls, hundreds more will rise to carry the flag. Our people have proven time and again that they will stand with strength in the face of injustice, tyranny, and betrayal.”

Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran is not the aggressor, but in the face of external threats, unity is more crucial than ever. “Every dispute, every point of contention must be set aside. The Iranian people must join hands and stand with determination against this criminal, genocidal aggression,” he said.
He also defended Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear research, stating, “We have the right to benefit from nuclear energy and research that serves the interests of our society. No one has the right to take that away from the Islamic Republic. We are standing firm in pursuit of this right and we fear no power in doing so.”
The president extended a message of solidarity to Muslim nations, asserting that Iran has reached out in brotherhood to all Islamic countries. “Most of them—if not all—now stand with us,” he said.
Criticizing the United States, Pezeshkian accused Washington of enabling Israel’s attacks in defiance of international norms. “America is resorting to coercion and is allowing Israel to violate our sovereignty with impunity. We have not sought war, nor have we initiated one. It was not us who assassinated our commanders and scientists; these crimes were carried out by terrorists,” he added. “What crime did a scientist commit to deserve being targeted and killed—along with his family—by someone from across the world?”
