WANA (Jul 14) – Iran’s President, referring to the destructive role of the Israeli regime in disrupting regional peace and security, said: “The Zionist regime is an imperialist project designed to weaken, occupy, plunder the resources of countries, and divide the region. The President thanked the Iraqi government and people for their hospitality toward Iranian pilgrims and for their assistance with the return of Hajj pilgrims. He added: “We hope the cooperation and coordination between our two countries in facilitating the magnificent Arbaeen pilgrimage will become a turning point and driver for coordination and cooperation in other fields, including activating border markets, joint investments, and academic exchanges. We are ready to elevate the level of cooperation with Iraq in all areas.”
Pezeshkian also emphasized the Israeli regime’s destructive role in undermining regional peace and security, saying: “The Zionist regime is an imperialist project to weaken, occupy, plunder the resources of countries, and fragment the region.
