WANA (Sep 21) – Iran’s President will travel to New York on Tuesday after attending the opening ceremony of the new school year in Tehran, senior political adviser Mahdi Sanai announced on the social media platform X.

 

According to Sanai, the President is scheduled to deliver a speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday morning local time (Wednesday evening Tehran time).

 

During his visit, the President will also hold meetings and consultations with heads of state, the UN Secretary-General, think tanks, policy forums, and members of the Iranian diaspora in the United States.

 

According to reports, several senior officials will accompany the President on his upcoming trip to New York for the United Nations General Assembly.

 

Hajji Mirzaei will join the delegation as Chief of Staff, Seyed Mehdi Tabatabaei as Deputy for Communications, Mehdi Sanai as Political Adviser, and Seyed Abbas Mousavi as Deputy for Protocol.

 

From the cabinet, only Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi will accompany the President, alongside him, on the visit to New York.
