Pezeshkian to Attend ECO Summit in Azerbaijan
WANA (Jul 01) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to attend the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), set to take place on July 3–4 in Khankendi, Azerbaijan.
According to reports, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev recently extended an official invitation to Pezeshkian to participate in the summit.
The ECO Secretariat had earlier announced that “ECO Week” will be observed in Azerbaijan from July 1 to July 4, culminating in the high-level summit on July 3–4.
Heads of state and government from ECO member countries, along with ministers, observers, special guests from non-member states, and leaders of international organizations, are expected to gather to discuss strategies for regional development and prosperity through economic cooperation.
ECO Week will feature a series of dynamic and inclusive events across multiple cities in Azerbaijan, focusing on youth engagement and strengthening regional economic ties.
Two dedicated ECO sessions on women and youth will be held in the city of Lachin, centered around the theme: “Empowering Women and Youth for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future.”
Additionally, the 6th ECO Business Forum will take place on July 2 in the city of Fuzuli, with the theme “Investment and Trade Promotion as a Catalyst for Sustainable Development in the ECO Region.” The forum will bring together regional investors and business leaders.
