Pezeshkian to Visit Kazakhstan
WANA (Oct 18) – Iran’s Vice Foreign Minister, Saeed Khatibzadeh, announced that President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to visit Kazakhstan before the end of this year.
Speaking in an interview, Khatibzadeh, who also heads Iran’s Political and International Studies Center, stated that during the visit, more than 20 cooperation agreements in the economic, cultural, and agricultural sectors are expected to be signed between the two countries.
Emphasizing that Iran and Kazakhstan are “natural partners” and brotherly nations with historical and cultural ties, he noted that as Caspian Sea neighbors, the two countries maintain deep political, economic, cultural, and human relations and closely cooperate in regional organizations such as SCO, ECO, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
On the economic front, Khatibzadeh highlighted that bilateral trade has surpassed $340 million, with a joint goal of increasing it to $3 billion.
He also announced that a delegation from Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture will visit Kazakhstan to negotiate grain and agricultural cooperation ahead of the presidential visit.
