PFLP Deputy Chief Meets IRGC Commander
WANA (Jun 09) – The Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, leading a delegation, met with Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in Tehran.
During the meeting, General Salami highlighted the strategic importance of the current regional situation, emphasizing that Palestine now holds a unique opportunity to strike at the Israeli regime. “This is the best moment for Palestine to mobilize all its capabilities,” he stated. “Now is the time to inflict the most effective blow against the Zionist regime.”
The Palestinian official praised Iran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and conveyed greetings on behalf of his movement. “I send my salutations to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, on behalf of myself and all our fighters,” he said. “We also salute the Iranian armed forces, who stand as a strong bulwark against American-Zionist pressures.”
He further paid tribute to the legacy of the late Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating: “Imam Khomeini was the true leader of the revolution in the region. He awakened the nations and championed the cause of the oppressed — those who longed for justice and found hope in his vision.”
