Phone Call Between Araghchi and Qatar’s Prime Minister Following Israeli Military Aggression
WANA (Sep 10) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in a telephone call with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, condemned in the strongest terms Israel’s military attack on Doha. He said that this action, which resulted in the killing and injuring of a number of Palestinian and Qatari citizens, constituted “a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.”
Araghchi referred to Israel’s ongoing attacks in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, as well as its recent actions targeting Iran and Qatar, and described the country as “a real threat to regional and international peace and security.” He emphasized that confronting this situation is only possible through the unity and concrete action of regional states, including the severance of economic and diplomatic ties with Israel.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that Israel’s aggression against Doha was not an isolated incident but part of a broader pattern of lawlessness and destabilization in the region. He underlined the urgent need for decisive regional and international action to hold Israel accountable for its violations.
The Qatari Prime Minister, for his part, expressed his gratitude for Iran’s solidarity and stated: “Islamic countries must remain vigilant and united in the face of Israel’s violations and dangerous behavior.” He also added that Qatar has taken all necessary measures to defend its national security against acts of aggression.
