Phone Call Between the Foreign Ministers of Iran and France
WANA (Apr 05) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional developments and international issues related to the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran.
During the call, Araghchi referred to U.S. threats targeting Iran’s infrastructure, stating that such actions would amount to the normalization of war crimes and genocide.
He warned that any such attack would be met with a “decisive and comprehensive” response from Iran’s armed forces.
He further stressed that the consequences of such escalation would not be limited to Iran or the region, but would have damaging effects on global energy markets and the world economy, placing full responsibility on U.S. officials and what he described as aggressors.
For his part, Barrot emphasized the necessity of ending the conflict and warned that threats against infrastructure would only heighten regional tensions.
He underscored the importance of resolving disputes through diplomatic means.
The two ministers also exchanged views on bilateral consular issues between Iran and France.
