Phone Conversation Between Araghchi and His Pakistani Counterpart
WANA (May 07) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Thursday, emphasizing the importance of maintaining dialogue and diplomacy as well as expanding constructive cooperation among regional countries.
During the call, the two sides reviewed the latest regional developments and ongoing trends, underlining the need to preserve stability and prevent the escalation of tensions through diplomatic engagement and closer regional coordination.
The two foreign ministers had also spoken by phone earlier this week, on Sunday, May 3. In that conversation, Araghchi praised Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating interactions between Iran and the United States.
The two officials also discussed recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at ending what Iran describes as the imposed war by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, and at restoring peace and stability in the region.
