Phone Conversation Between the Foreign Ministers of Iran and France
WANA (Jan 13) – In a phone call with his French counterpart, Iran’s foreign minister called for the condemnation of foreign interventionist actions in the internal affairs of countries.
On Tuesday evening, January 13, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Jean-Noël Barrot, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
During the call, the two sides exchanged views on relations between the two countries in various fields, including consular matters.
Referring to the incidents that occurred in Iran the previous day, Iran’s foreign minister stated that peaceful public protests had been turned violent by foreign-trained terrorist elements, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of Iranian citizens and the destruction of people’s property and public infrastructure. He emphasized the need to condemn foreign interventionist actions in the internal affairs of countries.
