Photos Suggest Oman Delivered Written Message to Iran’s Larijani, Not Vice Versa
WANA (Feb 10) – A photo released from the meeting between Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, and Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi suggests that — contrary to some media speculation — it was the Omani official who handed a written message to the Iranian side.
An American news agency wrote on Tuesday that Larijani may be delivering a message related to negotiations with the United States.
Larijani met with Al Busaidi on Tuesday following a three-hour meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.

Images published from the meeting have shed new light on the diplomatic encounter. In one of the photos, the Omani foreign minister appears to be holding a document believed to contain a written letter or message as he enters the meeting venue.
A source close to the Iranian delegation confirmed that it was the Omani foreign minister who delivered the written message to Larijani.
According to analysts, Oman has long played a role not only as a host but also as an effective intermediary in conveying messages and facilitating sensitive regional and international talks.
The country is seen as working to keep communication channels open between Tehran and other key actors, particularly the United States.
