WANA (Jul 29) – Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) confirmed Wednesday that several of its official bases across various parts of Iraq were targeted in airstrikes carried out by US and Saudi forces.

According to an official statement released by the PMF, initial reports indicated that the strikes resulted in multiple casualties—with several personnel killed and wounded—along with significant material damage to buildings and assets belonging to the organization.

The PMF characterized the strikes as a highly dangerous escalation, a clear violation of Iraqi national sovereignty, and an assault on the country’s official security institutions.

The organization noted that relevant authorities were currently assessing the situation on the ground to determine the full extent of the casualties and structural damage.

The group stated that further official details would be released to the public through official channels once comprehensive information had been gathered.
