About Jaish al-Adl
Jaish al-Adl (“Army of Justice”) is a militant Sunni extremist group active mainly in southeastern Iran, particularly in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
The group emerged after the downfall of Jundallah, another extremist faction once led by Abdolmalek Rigi. Jaish al-Adl is currently led by Salahuddin Farooqi, a former Jundallah member from Rask.
The group has repeatedly carried out armed and suicide attacks targeting Iranian military and civilian personnel, causing dozens of casualties.
Many of its members are believed to operate across the border in Pakistan, where they organize and strengthen their capabilities before launching operations inside Iran.
