WANA (Aug 26) – Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Air Defense Force, stated that the production and replacement of air defense systems are actively progressing, drawing entirely on domestic expertise and national capabilities following recent military engagements.

 

Addressing the operational lessons learned, General Elhami, who also serves as Commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Joint Air Defense Base, emphasized that all available capabilities were mobilized to deliver the most effective response against enemy aerial aggression.

 

He noted that insights gained from earlier conflicts paved the way for enhanced operational effectiveness in recent confrontations. During the latest conflict, Iranian air defense forces successfully targeted and intercepted a significant number of strategic enemy drones and fighter jets.

 

Upgrades and Domestic Production

Elhami highlighted that the recent conflict provided valuable tactical and operational insights, leading to strategic adjustments in system deployment, tactical arrangements, and overall force distribution.

 

“We are currently advancing by relying 100 percent on Iranian capabilities,” Elhami declared. “We are expanding our system inventory and replicating the defense platforms that proved highly successful during the third imposed war.”

 

Concluding his remarks, the commander reaffirmed that the development of next-generation defense hardware and systems remains underway, fully backed by indigenous technical knowledge and domestic specialization.
