WANA (Mar 01) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his condolences over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

 

In his message, Putin said that Ayatollah Khamenei would be remembered in Russia as “an outstanding statesman” who played a major role in developing friendly relations between Russia and Iran, elevating bilateral ties to the level of a “comprehensive strategic partnership.”

 

The Russian president also described the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei as an act that “violated all norms of human morality and international law,” warning that such actions carry serious consequences for regional and global stability.

 

Putin concluded by expressing sympathy with the Iranian nation and government, reaffirming Moscow’s commitment to the continuation of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
