WANA (Jul 27) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on Sunday strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Zahedan, describing it as a desperate act of revenge against the Iranian people’s unity and resistance in the face of foreign aggression.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, referring to the terrorist actions of the Israeli regime, said: “The Zionist criminal gang, through this heinous act, once again proved that ‘terror’ is an inseparable trait of its nature. It does not differentiate between military and civilian, old and young, man and woman.”

He continued: “This illegitimate child and cancerous tumor of the Western world, which is currently committing one of the greatest catastrophes in history in Gaza, must be stopped as soon as possible — before it drags the entire region and the world into further chaos.”

The Speaker of the Parliament added:

“The great nation of Iran, over the past 40 days, with unmatched unity, has dealt the enemy its hardest slap. Now the enemy seeks revenge from the proud and oppressed people of Iran through economic warfare and psychological operations. It is now time for the country’s economic commanders and officials in government institutions to take the lead.”

Zahedan Terror Attack: A Response to National Unity

The Speaker of the Parliament stated: “I must also mention yesterday’s crime committed by proxy terrorists in the southeast of the country, who drew their blades against innocent people — including women and children.”

He emphasized: “The blind terrorist attack in Zahedan was an act of revenge against the people — people who, through their unity and cohesion, stood against the military aggression of the Zionists and Americans toward beloved Iran. ”

“The blood of ‘seven-month-old Navid’ in his mother’s arms is yet another testament to the oppression of the Iranian people. Just as Iran’s armed and security forces responded decisively to the terrorists involved in the Zahedan incident, they will likewise confront the rest of the perpetrators and agents behind this crime, he added.”

Foreign Ministry Condemns Attack, Vows Justice

In a separate statement, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei also condemned the attack on the Zahedan Justice Department, which left six dead and 22 injured. He extended condolences to the victims’ families and wished a swift recovery for the wounded.

Baghaei reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s commitment to identifying and punishing those responsible for the attack.

The assault occurred early Saturday when armed assailants opened fire on the Justice Department building in Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
