WANA (Jul 16) – Qatar’s International Media Office has strongly denied reports by Israeli media claiming that Doha had agreed to participate in military action against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

According to the statement, the Qatari office rejected as baseless the allegations published by Israeli media, which claimed that Qatar had approved participation in military operations against Iran.

 

The statement said that such claims are being promoted by individuals seeking to drag Qatar into regional conflicts, undermine its central role as a mediator, and push the region toward greater tension and instability.

 

The office stressed that Qatari officials have repeatedly stated since the outbreak of the conflict that Doha has neither participated nor will participate in any military action against any of its neighboring countries.

 

It also emphasized that Qatar will not allow these misleading allegations to undermine its ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict and promoting regional stability.

 

In its concluding remarks, Doha reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its good-faith efforts, in coordination with regional and international partners, to achieve a comprehensive and lasting agreement that addresses the concerns of all relevant parties.

 

The statement came in response to a report published by the Hebrew-language newspaper Israel Hayom, which claimed that several Persian Gulf states, including Qatar, had joined attacks against Iran in recent days—an allegation that Qatari authorities categorically rejected.
