WANA (May 11) – A Qatari tanker that had transmitted signals hours earlier in the Strait of Hormuz has come to a halt.

According to reports, Bloomberg senior analyst Javier Blas said the Qatari LNG tanker changed course before stopping.

Earlier, Bloomberg had reported that the tanker “Mahamzam,” carrying a cargo from Qatar’s Ras Laffan terminal, had entered waters under Iranian control.

A day earlier, Iran had allowed another Qatari tanker to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

However, maritime tracking signals from the latest vessel — which listed Pakistan as its destination — indicate that it has not yet received permission to transit the strategic waterway.
