WANA (Jun 02) – The Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, has warned that ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon will prompt the Axis of Resistance to activate new fronts and restrict maritime traffic in the Bab al-Mandeb strait to mirror conditions in the Strait of Hormuz.

 

In a statement published on his official social media account, Qaani condemned what he described as Zionist atrocities backed by the United States, asserting that these actions would only strengthen the resolve of regional allied forces.

 

“The Zionist wickedness in Lebanon and Gaza, carried out under the brazen support of the United States, will trigger the Axis of Resistance to expand its backing for both fronts, take action to activate other fronts, and equalize the traffic status of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait with the Strait of Hormuz,” Qaani stated.

 

Warnings of a Strategic Quagmire

The Quds Force commander emphasized that Israel’s simultaneous military campaigns in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip would ultimately backfire, trapping the country in a multi-front conflict.

 

“The wretched Zionist regime must know that committing simultaneous crimes in southern Lebanon and Gaza will trap it in the vortex of Hezbollah’s operations and a renewed storm by courageous Palestinian fighters,” the statement concluded.
