Report Claims Iran Has Proposed 10-Point Plan to End the War
WANA (Apr 06) – According to a report by an Iranian domestic news agency close to the government, after two weeks of intensive and comprehensive high-level deliberations, Iran has conveyed its official response to the U.S. proposal to end the war via Pakistan.
In this response, structured in 10 points, Iran—citing past experiences—has rejected a temporary ceasefire and emphasized the necessity of achieving a lasting solution and a permanent end to the war, taking its own considerations into account.
According to the report, the main pillars of Iran’s demands include a complete end to hostilities in the region, the establishment of protocols for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, reconstruction of damages, and the lifting of sanctions. The issue of compensation for damages has also been addressed in this proposed package.
The proposal comes at a time when recent developments in western and central regions of Iran, as well as the failure of a U.S. heliborne operation, have—according to the source—once again reinforced Iran’s superior position on the ground.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump, by extending previous deadlines, has stepped back from his earlier threatening tone.
The report underscores that Iran’s approach is focused on achieving a comprehensive and durable agreement, and that any temporary solution, including a short-term ceasefire, would not be sufficient under the current circumstances.
