WANA (Jul 16) – According to published reports, attacks have been carried out moments ago targeting Iran Shahr Airport and several communication infrastructure sites in Hormozgan Province.

 

A journalist  in Iran Shahr reported that U.S. fighter jets launched missile strikes on the airport in the city. Local sources said residents heard three powerful explosions near the airport, with initial reports indicating that the facility came under heavy attack.

 

Meanwhile, other reports said explosions were heard in Bandar Khamir County and the Kuhurstan district in Hormozgan Province. According to these reports, a key route connecting Bandar Abbas to Shiraz — known as the Bandar Abbas–Kuhurstan–Lar bridge route — was hit in the attack.

 

It was also reported that electricity has been cut off in parts of Kuhurstan following the strikes.

 

So far, no precise information has been released regarding the extent of the damage or possible casualties. Operational commanders of the armed forces stationed in the area are currently assessing the situation at the affected sites. Further updates will be announced as more information becomes available.
