WANA (Jun 08) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission stated that Iran will not retreat from its position until what he described as the “mad dog of the region” is fully punished.

 

Ebrahim Rezaei, a member of parliament representing Dashtestan and spokesperson for the commission, reacted to recent regional developments and Iran’s latest military operation in a post on his X account.

 

In his message, Rezaei wrote: “The strikes were launched from the very place that Trump claimed had been destroyed. We are ready—more prepared than we were on February 28. We will stand firm until the mad dog of the region is fully punished, and we will not back down.”

 

He also used the hashtag “We Will Crush You” in his post.

 

The remarks come amid escalating tensions in the region, as Iranian officials and military commanders have repeatedly warned that any expansion of hostilities would be met with a firm and decisive response from Tehran.

 

Following Israeli strikes on Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh on Monday afternoon, Iranian armed forces reportedly launched missile attacks hours later against multiple targets in Israel. According to reports, the Ramat David Airbase—identified as one of the launch points for the earlier attacks—was among the targets struck.

 

In a statement issued after the operation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that Iran’s acceptance of a ceasefire on April 8 had been conditional on a complete halt to hostilities across all fronts. The statement accused the United States and Israel of violating the agreement by continuing military actions in Lebanon and by carrying out repeated actions against Iranian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, and the Indian Ocean.

 

The IRGC described the latest operation as a warning, stressing that any further acts of aggression would trigger a broader response targeting additional American and Israeli interests across the region.
