WANA (May 08) – Ebrahim Rezaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, issued a scathing public statement today targeting the United States leadership and its naval operations in the Persian Gulf.

In a sharp rhetorical escalation, Rezaei suggested that the acronym USA should be replaced with USI, standing for the “United States of Idiots,” citing the strategic decisions of the current American President and Secretary of Defense.

The senior lawmaker’s comments focused primarily on recent maritime tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. Rezaei claimed that the United States has twice attempted to navigate frigates and destroyers through the strategic waterway without success.

He emphasized that even if the United States were to deploy its entire naval force, it would remain unable to secure passage through the Strait against Iranian defenses.

Concluding his remarks with a direct provocation, Rezaei characterized American military maneuvers as the behavior of a spoiled child. He asserted that U.S. forces enter the region only to face military setbacks and physical confrontation before being forced to retreat.
