WANA (Sep 08) – Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said Washington had received a clear warning in recent days about Iran’s new missile capabilities.

Mohsen Rezaei made the remarks in a post on X early Tuesday, September 8, saying Iran would respond to what he described as an “economic war” by establishing a maritime exclusion zone across the Persian Gulf up to the blockade area.

Rezaei also said Iran’s operational approach toward U.S. vessels and military bases had undergone a major review.

His remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States over economic pressure, sanctions and regional security developments, with the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz remaining key areas of strategic and economic concern.
