WANA (Oct 11) – In recent hours, rumors have circulated on social media and several accounts linked to Israeli sources claiming that General Esmail Qaani, commander of the IRGC Quds Force, has been assassinated. Follow-up investigations show that these reports are completely unfounded and false.

According to reports, an account called “Terror Alarm”, which is believed to be affiliated with Israeli intelligence agencies including Mossad, once again published a fabricated story alleging the assassination of the Quds Force commander. This account has previously spread numerous false claims regarding commanders of the Resistance Axis.

Media analysts believe that the repeated circulation of such rumors is part of Israel’s ongoing psychological warfare against the Resistance Front, aimed at creating anxiety, disrupting field communications, and exploiting reactions to extract information.

The rumor emerged shortly after reports of a successful intelligence operation by Hezbollah against Mossad spy networks were made public. Observers say this timing suggests an Israeli attempt to divert public attention from its recent setbacks.

General Qaani has previously commented on such rumor campaigns, stating: “From time to time, Israel spreads news of my assassination to make friends worry and reach out to me — so they can use those contacts to locate my position. This is part of their psychological operations.”

Official sources have confirmed that General Qaani is in full health, and his field and command activities continue as usual.
