WANA (Apr 24) – Official sources have dismissed reports claiming that Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has resigned from his position as head of the Iranian negotiating team.

Despite widespread speculation on social media naming potential successors, Iman Shamsaei, Head of the Parliament’s Communications and Media Center, labeled the claims as baseless.

“Mr. Ghalibaf has not resigned from any post,” Shamsaei stated. “Furthermore, no new round of negotiations has been scheduled that would require the appointment of a head negotiator. These rumors are intended solely to disturb public opinion.”

Officials confirmed that Ghalibaf remains fully active in his current roles.
