WANA (Apr 28) – Russia’s defense minister said Moscow fully supports Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing that this position will continue in the future.

 

During a meeting with Iran’s deputy defense minister, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov strongly condemned the recent attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran. He also offered condolences over the deaths of Iranian military commanders and civilians, particularly children and students.

 

Belousov praised the courage of the Iranian people and the performance of the country’s armed forces, stating that Russia would continue to stand firmly behind Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

 

Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, Iran’s deputy defense minister for strategic planning and management development, was in Kyrgyzstan to attend the meeting of defense ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
