WANA (May 28) – President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasized that Iran will pursue transformation with divine support, regardless of whether international sanctions are lifted.

Speaking at a meeting with Iranians living in Oman, President Pezeshkian stressed the need to fear injustice and oppression more than external threats. “We must act justly and fairly toward our own people, our neighbors, and the world,” he said. “There will always be a small group that remains unmoved regardless of our actions, while others are the elite. But the majority follow a path—one that becomes clear through leadership.”

Reaffirming Iran’s resilience, he stated, “Sanctions or no sanctions, we will achieve change with God’s help—and with your support. If Islamic countries unite, expand their trade and economic cooperation, and create interconnected markets through conscious investment, we won’t need anyone else.”

President Pezeshkian condemned external exploitation of the region’s resources, saying: “They come to our region, take our oil and gas, and in return, sell us weapons, bombs, and missiles. They sow fear among us and make us threaten each other through deception and hostility.”

He called for greater unity among Muslim nations, emphasizing that peace, security, and prosperity must be the shared goals. “We are not threats to one another—we are opportunities for each other. By working together, we can change the current situation for the better.”

Referring to agreements reached during his visit to Oman, the president expressed optimism: “I sense strong will and determination from the Sultanate of Oman to enhance bilateral ties. This is rooted in a longstanding relationship, and I am confident that together, we can bring about real change.”

Pezeshkian went on to say: “We’ve been placed in a difficult position, but we must not let that divide us. Muslims have been turned against one another. We need to ask what the world’s evil forces really want from us. It’s time to reject their schemes and promote honesty, unity, and well-being in our societies. With cooperation, we will establish peace, security, and lasting stability—and we will succeed.”

He added, “We reached promising agreements with Oman during this visit, and we will follow through on them. You, the Iranian community here, can help lay the groundwork to build a stronger Iran.”
