WANA (Aug 12) – According to an exclusive report, Saudi Arabia has reportedly sent a confidential message to the Yemeni negotiating delegation in Muscat, calling for an end to the conflict and a return to the 2022 Riyadh-Sanaa agreement.

Sources close to the Yemeni negotiating delegation said the message was delivered after Ansarullah carried out effective strikes against positions held by Saudi-backed forces and military units in Yemen.

Sanaa Rejects Return to Previous Conditions

The report said the Saudi request was rejected by Ansarullah officials. Sanaa has stressed that simply returning to previous agreements would not be sufficient and that it is seeking serious and practical guarantees to protect the interests of the Yemeni people.

Yemen’s Demands for an End to the Conflict

According to the sources, Sanaa’s key demands include lifting the blockade on Yemen, providing compensation, and ending Saudi Arabia’s interference in Yemen’s internal affairs.

The developments come as diplomatic efforts to find a solution to the conflict in Yemen continue, with Muscat remaining a key venue for negotiations between the Yemeni parties.

Sanaa’s latest position indicates that a return to the framework of the 2022 agreement is unlikely to be accepted by Ansarullah without guarantees addressing Yemen’s demands.
