WANA (Mar 10) – On the evening of Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The call took place following the escalation of tensions and the attacks by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.

 

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the most important issues related to bilateral cooperation as well as regional developments. Putin emphasized Russia’s opposition to military aggression against Iran and announced his country’s readiness to provide the necessary assistance and any support aimed at bringing a swift end to the conflicts in the region.

 

Pezeshkian, while expressing appreciation for Russia’s supportive stance toward Iran, stressed the need to condemn the aggressive actions and crimes of the United States and the Israeli regime in international forums, and called for the continuation of consultations at the highest levels.

 

This call marks the second phone conversation between the presidents of the two countries since the start of the war, and is seen as a sign of efforts to reduce tensions and manage the crisis in the region.
