WANA (Apr 06) – The second shipment of humanitarian aid from the people of Iraq has arrived in Iran and was delivered to the Iranian Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization, according to officials.

Razieh Alishvandi, Deputy for International Affairs and Humanitarian Law at the Iranian Red Crescent Society, said the shipment includes rubble-removal equipment, medical supplies, food, and essential relief items. She noted that the aid was sent following a religious ruling attributed to Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and Iraq’s holy shrines.

She added that several countries—including Russia, Azerbaijan, India, China, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan—have also sent assistance to Iran.

Alishvandi emphasized that Iran did not request any of the aid, describing the deliveries as entirely voluntary and coordinated through official channels with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
