Share of Arab Countries Involved in the War in Iran’s Trade
WANA (Apr 16) – Iran’s customs data show that among Arab countries involved in regional conflicts, only one plays a decisive role in Iran’s foreign trade: the United Arab Emirates.
According to the data, the UAE accounts for 12.5% of Iran’s exports and 30.43% of its imports, bringing its total share of Iran’s trade to 22.48%. This makes it by far the most important Arab trading partner for Tehran.
In contrast, other Arab countries hold a near-zero share. Saudi Arabia and Bahrain each account for just 0.01% of Iran’s trade, while Qatar stands at 0.27% and Kuwait at 0.2%.
