Sharif: Iran and the United States Ready for Negotiations
WANA (Apr 10) – Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, announced that Iran and the United States have expressed their readiness to begin negotiations—a development seen as a potentially significant step toward easing regional tensions.
Welcoming the move, he described both sides’ willingness to engage in dialogue as positive and commendable, emphasizing that it could pave the way for peace.
Sharif also highlighted the role of Asim Munir in managing the crisis, noting that his efforts to contain escalating tensions would be remembered as decisive and impactful. According to him, a temporary ceasefire has already been reached; however, achieving a full and lasting ceasefire remains a difficult and critical stage in the process.
He further stressed the importance of the success of these negotiations and called on Muslims around the world to pray for the protection of innocent lives and the establishment of lasting peace. Sharif expressed hope that diplomatic efforts would ultimately reduce violence and bring stability to the region.
