WANA (Jun 19) – Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that he will attend the funeral ceremony of the martyred Iranian leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, on behalf of the people of Pakistan.

 

Speaking in Pakistan’s National Assembly, Sharif said that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had invited Pakistan to participate in the funeral and burial ceremonies of the martyred leader.

 

Sharif stated that a Pakistani delegation would travel to Iran for the occasion, adding: “I will attend the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on behalf of the people of Pakistan.”

 

According to the announced schedule, Ayatollah Khamenei’s body will be laid to rest at the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad on Thursday, July 9, following funeral ceremonies in Tehran and Qom.
