Shift in the Israeli Regime’s Media Strategy
WANA (Jun 19) – Following the Israeli Prime Minister’s claims about the destruction of Iran’s missile and air defense sites, Iran launched a series of precise and devastating missile strikes starting yesterday. These attacks not only surprised international observers but also forced officials within the Israeli regime—including Netanyahu himself—to acknowledge “heavy casualties and damage.”
In response, the Israeli regime has shifted its media strategy. From today, it is attempting to portray itself as a victim by highlighting destruction in hospitals and residential areas caused by Iran’s strikes. The goal appears to be rallying international sympathy—especially from European countries—and pushing the United States toward direct involvement in the conflict.
Media outlets such as Iran International, which is reportedly connected to the Israeli war operations room, and the BBC, which maintains a façade of neutrality while promoting Israeli narratives, play a central role in this strategy. For instance, a report by Zhiar Gol—a journalist said to have ties with Mossad—criticized Israeli media censorship while subtly suggesting that Iran had targeted civilian areas.
However, Iran has repeatedly stated that its missiles targeted only military and strategic sites of the Israeli regime. Meanwhile, recent failures in Israel’s air defense system have led to several instances of self-inflicted damage. It appears that, following its military setbacks, the Israeli regime is now turning to media tactics in an attempt to gain global sympathy. Yet the precision of Iran’s strikes and the facts on the ground continue to challenge and undermine this narrative.
