WANA (Apr 01) – The Khuzestan Provincial Meteorological Office announced that its weather radar in Ahvaz was struck by missiles and drones in an attack attributed to the U.S. and Israel, stating the facility was used solely for meteorological monitoring and public safety services.

The office said the radar system, which was installed to track weather phenomena and prevent damage to lives and property, was targeted in what it described as a “criminal and inhumane act.”

Separately, the Deputy Governor for Security and Law Enforcement Affairs of Khuzestan said an airstrike also targeted a shipbuilding company in Khorramshahr, causing partial damage.

He added that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
