The Shiraz-born composer and musician added that experiences like this “allow Iranian art to gain global identity alongside the music of other cultures.”
Reflecting on the group’s achievement, he said: “Although participating and succeeding in this global festival came with many challenges, through dedication, teamwork, and moral support, we were able to bring this great honor to the music scene of Fars Province.”
Tayeb Faghih, who began his artistic career in 2000, has long worked to promote Iran’s national and regional musical heritage. He has previously earned accolades at major international festivals, including Fajr Festival (Iran), Canta al Mar (Spain), Schumann Robert (Germany), Asia Pacific (Sri Lanka), and World Choir Games (Russia).
Winning the medal at the 2025 Spain Festival marks his and his group’s second major success in Spain.
Notably, the Parseh Choir of Shiraz also performed alongside the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra at Persepolis last September, where they delivered a moving rendition of the iconic Iranian anthem “Ey Iran.”
