WANA (Jun 16) – On the fifth night of military clashes between Iran and Israel, official sources reported that the Islamic Republic of Iran has launched a fresh wave of missile strikes targeting the occupied territories.

 

Moments ago, during a live news broadcast on Iranian state television, it was announced that Iran had begun a new round of missile attacks against targets inside the occupied lands. In the broadcast, a direct warning was issued to the residents of Tel Aviv: “Evacuate Tel Aviv if you want to stay alive.”

 

Just hours earlier, Iranian media had reported an Israeli airstrike on the headquarters of Iran’s state broadcaster. In response, Iranian sources confirmed the beginning of a heavy retaliation, stating that the operation involved a combination of drones and missiles.

 

According to Hebrew-language sources, warning sirens have been triggered in many parts of the occupied territories, and several Israeli television channels—including Channels 12 and 14—have suspended their broadcasts.

 

Meanwhile, the official account linked to the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader posted an image on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), declaring: “Victory from Allah and an imminent conquest.”

 

The statement added: “Undoubtedly, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic will deal heavy blows to this wicked Zionist enemy. The people support us—they stand with the armed forces—and, by God’s permission, the Islamic Republic will prevail over the Zionist regime.”

 

Some media sources have reported that Iran is preparing for an unprecedented wave of attacks. According to these reports, around 500 drones and 200 cruise missiles are expected to be launched tonight toward Tel Aviv and Haifa. Simultaneously with the arrival of the drones, ballistic missiles are also expected to be fired. The peak of the assault is anticipated to occur after 2 a.m.

 

In an official statement, the spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the ninth wave of “True Promise 3” operations began moments ago and will continue without pause until dawn. According to him, over the past 72 hours, 545 attack drones have continuously targeted various locations across the occupied territories, and these operations will persist.
