Strait of Hormuz Management Solely Under Iran’s Authority
WANA (Jun 30) – The chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Ebrahim Azizi, said the management of the strategic Strait of Hormuz falls exclusively under the authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ebrahim Azizi stated that “the era of U.S. interference in regional affairs is over,” adding that “the return of defeated powers will not bring any achievements.”
He stressed that the strategic Strait of Hormuz is “an inseparable part of Iran’s national sovereignty” and that its management “is solely under the authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Addressing developments in Lebanon, Azizi also said that the country’s sovereignty “will be secured not through the disarmament of the resistance, but by ending occupation and aggression.”
