WANA (Aug 08) – The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is strictly subject to the United States fully accepting Iran’s conditions and ending its interference in regional talks, declared Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Spokesman General Mohebbi.

 

Addressing recent diplomatic efforts and media developments, General Mohebbi emphasized Iran’s firm strategic stance regarding the vital maritime corridor and national resilience.

 

Reopening Conditions: “The opening of the Strait of Hormuz relies on the U.S. completely accepting Iran’s terms and ceasing its interference in regional negotiations,” Mohebbi stated. “Whenever the United States accepts Iran’s conditions, the Strait of Hormuz will certainly be opened.”

 

Independence from Omani Mediation: He clarified that access to the waterway operates strictly under the Islamic Republic’s specific protocols and is entirely separate from ongoing bilateral talks between Iran and Oman.

 

Strategic Value: Highlighting the significance of the passage, Mohebbi noted that the Strait is not merely an economic waterway for Iran, but a core component of its geographical and strategic power.
